Using acrylic paint (mixed with water, pouring medium and sometimes black coffee) over old canvases, the focus is on creating abstract and non-linear shapes. This process involves letting the watered-down paint run its course, conforming itself to its own rhythm and the laws of gravity, without any brushstrokes or much interference at all, as if it had a life of its own.
The usual dark background tones contrast with vibrant colors and textured surfaces, almost reflecting a sort of psychedelic experience but with an inescapable distressing atmosphere. The main objective is to explore and depict altered states of consciousness and evoke conflicted emotions, inviting the viewer to engage with them and channel their own troubling experiences.
